The day I talk back...

The chaos around me
makes me go insane.
Yet I maintain my sanity
so that I don't end up
troubling those who love me.
I wonder if it's just me
who is going ahead with this relationship
or is it the others involved too
who actually put in efforts
to sail through the storm.
At times, I hit the rough patches
I tremble, fall and
hold on to the cliffs as well
yet I'm blamed for hanging on.
Confusion grips my hands
and pulls me forcefully
to the farthest ends.
Questions without answers
roam around in my mind
and I go about aimlessly
doing nothing but waiting
for the answers which aren't in sight.
Perseverance is the key I had heard
now I rethink if it's actually true
for perseverance lets people
take you for granted easily.
The day I talk back,
the house of cards will shatter
and the shreds will spill
all over the place.
It'll be hard to gather them all
for along with the debris,
pieces of my heart and soul
will also be found as well.
Insanity and insomnia hits me
as the night crawls in
letting my wander again
under the charcoal night sky.
I wonder if this wandering will ever stop
or will I be a wandering soul
even in life afterlife.

People tagged her wrong...!!!

Lost in the confusions,
she stays awake all night.
Weighing her responsibilities,
she chose the one that weighs the most.
However, she is proven wrong
by her own people, her own tribe.
Their expectations had no limit,
her patience was exhausted
like the fire in the hearth.
She pondered over her decisions,
only to realise she was never wrong in the first place.
People tagged her wrong because
she didn't stand up to their expectations.
She had a family to look after too,
her priorities mattered a lot to her at least.
She was expected to act as per their words
whereas she chose her way to deal.
Just because she dealt with things her way,
she was named selfish.
She had changed according to them
but in the mirror, she was the same.
Just that her thoughts and priorities
had upgraded a lot more than anything else.
It seems she didn't belong to this generation
and she wasn't independent at all.
According to her, if independence meant
choosing someone else over her family,
then maybe she didn't need such an independence.
It seems she wasn't supposed to be
way too transparent with her spouse.
Apparently, she was supposed to hide stuffs
so that she could be independent,
but she never needed such an independence.
Words pricked her heart and
her soul tore into innumerable pieces,
yet she smiled and spoke to those
who were the culprits of the broken bonds
and the shattered thoughts.
The darkness she loved, became unbearable
as words haunted her each night,
tears rolled down her eyes,
thinking that she had been pushed way too far.
She yearned to talk to those who accepted her,
who didn't blame her for no reason at all.
Alas! All she was left with a heap of memories
and some bitter words from her people.
She swallowed her pride thinking they are hers after all,
after much thought she decided to talk back.
She pounced back like a lioness, an injured lioness
for she was way more strong than they thought.
They shivered listening to her roar,
after all, she was there to show them all a mirror.
Her wounds bled like crazy, yet she didn't seem to care,
at stake was her spouse and family.
her own clan had disowned her
just because she didn't choose them.
Now it was her time to show who were really hers
from the beginning of the cold war.

Never ending wait.

"Wait for me," she shouted...
"I won't wait." he yelled back and that's all he said. She turned back to see an over speeding car hit him, he flew in the air, fell with a thud on the ground. Blood gushed like water from his head and she went blank. Her world shattered in front of her. Yet, she gathered all her strength and ran to him, took him on her lap and called his name. "Dhruv, get up. You can't leave me like this. Dhruvvvvvv...!!!!!" Her hands, her clothes everything was soaked in his blood. Some good soul called for an ambulance and they took him away to the hospital. She was with him throughout. With some strength left, he clung to her hand as if to say that he wants to live.

She kept talking to him constantly, his pulse kept moving up and down and somehow it dropped suddenly. He didn't hold back her hand. He didn't look at her, he didn't wanna live it felt at last. They had gone through a lot to be together and when finally they were together, destiny didn't want them to be together and enjoy themselves. He was a windower and she was unmarried. She never fell in love with anyone else except him during their college days. He married because his parents forced him to get married and when he got married to someone, he never liked her. They never spent a day like a husband and wife.

Dhruv kept searching for his love that he had lost in college though he was married. He had lost her number somehow. Smriti was her name. The entire world was forced to address her by 'Smriti' except him. He called her "Simmi".

The whole college knew about their love story. However, his parents remained unheard about this. She belonged to a higher strata of the society. The boys dreamt of marrying her but she dreamt of marrying only Dhruv.

She chose to take up science, while he chose commerce. They both went to the same college till their post graduation. Confession was never done about their love. Dhruv got a job in an MNC for which he had to leave his hometown and move to Mumbai. Even the air of Mumbai couldn't reduce their love. Though they weren't in contact with each other, they lived in each other's hearts.

Their only mistake was they didn't confess. They assumed they'd be together till the end of time. Her assumptions were short-lived when she got to know about Dhruv getting married. Dhruv hadn't even agreed and his parents had finalized the match. He came searching for her when he heard that she was in the town. Smriti finally convinced him to marry Supriya. Dhruv didn't feel anything towards her. She on the other hand was homosexual and had a girlfriend already. Dhruv knew this on the day of their wedding and agreed to stay with her so that neither his parents would force him to get married nor her life would be spoilt by some man who could not accept her original identity. Though they shared the room, they never shared the bed. They were good friends. Supriya's girlfriend too knew about Dhruv. She felt blessed to have Dhruv as their cover. He had arranged for 2 single beds in their room. They were good friends. Supriya's girlfriend too knew about Dhruv. She felt blessed to have Dhruv as their cover. No one knew about her truth. For the next 2 years, things went well and one day, both Supriya and her girlfriend were killed in an accident. Dhruv did feel a loss for a while because Supriya was the only one who knew about Dhruv's love for Smriti.

Dhruv was alone. In spite of being married to Supriya, he was in love with Smirti. Days after his marriage, they accidentally bumped into each other at the grocery store near the nook. Their hearts did all the talking that was stored in the radio of their heart. She had come down to her hometown for somedays.

"I work in Mumbai. What about you?" she asked.
On hearing Mumbai, his heart danced like a baby.
"Same." He replied controlling his excitement.
She knew him from long before she understood it all.
"I know you're in Mumbai too. Let's meet up as soon as possible." She said and left.

His heart knew no bounds at all. A couple of days later, on the streets of Dadar, they were having vada-pav and cutting Chai for their breakfast. She had bought a home in Mumbai and they lived together in the same house. He lived in the guest room and she owned the master bedroom of the house. Nothing had changed. They were the same as they were during the college days.

They had found love once again. The love that they'd lost during their college days. They decided to start a new life with each other. They decorated the house, they no longer felt the need to talk and discuss things with their parents for they would never understand their love. They got married and lived happily. Dear destiny had already thought of ruining their lives.

Wait for me," she shouted...

She rushed to the hospital with all her strength.

"Doctor Singh, emergency."  She said
"Doctor Batra, he's bleeding profusely. He needs immediate operation. Come, let's proceed." Doctor Singh replied.

At the operation theatre, she actually saw his soul leave his body unable to bear the pain, the wounds, the surgery. The accident had left his skull broken, brain injured, spinal cord displaced. Had he survived, he would be a burden he felt and that's why requested God to take him away. At the age of 50, he finally rested in peace. She finally fulfilled his dream by performing an operation on him.
When she became a doctor, the first thing he said was - "someday, perform an operation on me as well."
His words would keep ringing in her ears until she met him in heaven.

Let Them Choose

Before giving career guidance counselling to children it is necessary that parents get a counselling session done. As parents, it is important for the elders to know what the child wants before pushing their wants in front of their child. After 10th, children are clueless as to what stream they are supposed to choose. If it is arts, commerce or science. As children, it is their birth right to walk up to their parents and get some suggestions. Parents are basically the mentors of the child from day one. As parents, it is your duty to suggest what is good and what is bad for your child but instead what parents tend to do is they push their unfulfilled dreams on their child which in turn kills the dream of the child. The child thinks, okay I am supposed to make my parents proud so I will do what my parents are asking me to do without realising that s/heis actually killing his or her own dream with his or her own hands. The unfulfilled dreams gradually prick the child through life till the end of  time. He or she becomes an unhappy person, spreading unhappines to the people around him or her.  It is totally okay if your child takes up commerce or science or arts. All have equal value. Let me state out the fact now, the demand for engineers has decreased over the period of time. It does not make any difference. There is competition in the world I agree but there is no competition with the cousins, with the friends, with the relatives children, with the Sharmaji ka ladka. The one and only competition is within the child.  What he or she is today and what he or she was yesterday is the only competition the child should know. As parents, we take away their freedom. We believe our parents didn't give us freedom so we will not give our child the freedom that the child needs. You have to change your thinking. The world today is not according to you, it's very fast, it's very technical, it's very tech friendly it's
"SMART."

Give suggestions, beta this is this, this is this, and this is this. Be available for your child whenever he or she needs you. It may be for suggestions, for opinions, for advice, for emotional support but do not decide for them. It should be their decision which college they want to go to, which stream they want to choose, what they want to do in life. At that time, at least the child must have some clarity about what he or she wants for themselves.  We are parents. We are not the ring masters in the circus and our children are not tigers or a lion or an elephant that entertains people in the circus. Your relatives are just an audience to make fun of but you are the real support for your child. Your child will come to you when they need something and not go to Sharma ji or your relatives. Sharma ji might afford the education that he is giving to his son or daughter but it's okay there if you can't do the same. There is no compulsion that you have to put your child in the same college that Sharmaji's son is going in. You admit your child in the college of his or her choice for it will be your child there and not Sharmaji's.

Sharma ji might be busy earning money, counting notes when his son needs something but you will always be available for your child. If your child walks up to you and says "Mumma, something is wrong. I need to talk to you." be there for your child. If your child says, "Papa I need some money for the material given in college, give them the money do not doubt on them. However, make sure you check the material that is got. See where the money is invested. Make a habit of writing down the accounts of the money spent. Keep an eye on the child but don't interfere too much. They are your children and you are a parent. They are not prisoners and you are not a jailor you know. Basically, this cycle of unfulfilled dreams keeps going on and on to the generation that are to come. You push your unfulfilled dreams on your child because your parents didn't allow you to pursue your dream. Your child will push their unfulfilled dreams on their children because you didn't allow them to fulfill their dreams.  This chain is never ending.

Why do we have this tendency of pushing our decisions on them? Are they not humans? Don't they have the thinking capacity? Don't they have dreams? Won't they be able to choose wisely for themselves? If they make the wrong decision, be there for them. Don't taunt, don't punish, don't yell, don't shout, don't scold, just be there. If they fall, let them fall. They'll get up, walk again with baby steps. They will start all over again. If they do the things by themselves, choose what they want, and if they ever go wrong they will at least not blame you. Let them choose what they want. It's high time to normalize and accept their choices, dreams, ambitions, goals instead of pushing your dreams on them.

DREAMS ARE DREAMS. BE IT YOURS OR BE IT YOUR CHILD'S.

Parents need to normalise to accept flaws, success, failures and everything else that is related to their child. Each child is different in his or her own way and it is parents duty to understand the capacity of their own ward and let them dream.

Parents should learn to accept their child the way they are instead of comparing them with someone else in the world outside or relatives or friends for that matter. It would be way better if parents just accepted the knitting dreams of their child and be happy with their child.
Let them live life the way they want to after they have reached a certain stage in their life. Instead of forcing your dreams on them, it will be better if you as parents accept those dreams of your children and let them lead life the way they want to.

In this competitive era, it gets difficult to achieve everything in one go. Some children take baby steps and some children take huge leaps. Just because your child is not running like the other child, doesn't mean that your child doesn't give the best of his or her capacity. Your neighbor's child maybe good at academics and your child maybe good in drawing or arte or singing or something else that someone else is not good at.

Competition is there at every step and at every stage, this world is growing competitive. Just because your child is choosing Arts over Science doesn't mean that your child is not capable of anything. Maybe your child is good at literature/History/ Hindi/English and some other subject that a Science student may not be good at. Just because your child is going to Commerce field and wants to be an MBA or a CA doesn't mean that your child is any less than your neighbour's. Just because your child has done engineering and then wishes to pursue MBA and then wants to join some bank, doesn't mean that choosing Science was a waste.
Let your children choose course/careers of their choice instead of you pushing all your unfulfilled dreams on their head. It would be way better if you would let them fly, fall, get up, dust themselves, dream and learn to walk again.

Just because you couldn't fulfill your dreams at your age, doesn't  give you the right to force your dreams on your children. By making them emotionally weak and convincing them the wrong way to make your dreams theirs, you're losing your child. Telling them all your dreams over and over again, that your dreams will remain unfulfilled if they don't pursue it, you'll be getting no where. Giving them guilt trips, by compelling them to dream your dreams, ambitions, goals and just making them suffer to achieve your dreams, will get you nothing but distance between you and your child.

Dreams are dreams after all be it yours or be it your child's. Just for you, they have to sacrifice their dream isn't right. Is it? You as parents have sacrificed a lot so have they given upon things you might not know it because they never told out in the open about sacrificing something for you. Just to make you happy, to keep you away from worries, they might agree to dream what you have dreamt of, but what about their ambitions? Have you thought about it? What about those simple dreams that they've sewed for themselves?
You couldn't fulfill your dreams when you were of their age doesn't mean you force all your dreams on them and continue the chain for generations together.
Just like how you have dreamt something for them, they too have them something for themselves. Just because you don't support them, maybe they will accept your dreams as their dreams and pursue but you really think by pursuing your dreams, they will be happy? You think it'll be a good choice?
Maybe your parents didn't allow you, didn't have your back but it doesn't mean that you don't support your children too. Back then, when you were of their age, when you were young, the conditions might have been different, the education system was not as strong as it is right now. Maybe your parents were not financially capable of helping you achieve your dreams but if you are financially strong and able then why not let your  children pursue their dream?
It may take a little longer for your child to achieve his or her dream than it took for someone else. Or who knows someone else might not even know what they want from life let alone living their dream but your child at least knows where his or her happiness lies. At least, your child is running after his or her dream.
There are many children out in the world who compromise from the day they are born to the last day, be happy that at least your child has never learnt compromising on their dreams that they have dreamt of from the time they have learnt what the world is.
You compromised may be your  partner did too that doesn't mean your child also should adjust. Does it?
If you are capable of helping your child achieve his or her dream, then why not break the stereotype of forcing your unfulfilled dreams on them?
Tomorrow when your child is of your age, your child will be proud enough to say that "my parents helped me achieve my dream, my parents supported me to become the person I am today" and maybe your child will help his or her child to be the person of their choice.
In the era where money matters a lot more than peace of mind, be satisfied that your child is choosing peace of mind over monetary terms.
It's not very often that someone chooses peace of mind over money if your child is pursuing peace of mind, calm, satisfaction for a less amount of money maybe you're lucky you know.
If your child comes and shares the idea of their dream with you, may be your child is sorted and knows where his or her serenity lies. It's not always that dreams are fulfilled. The society isn't bringing up your child, you are. So your child will share things with you and not with the society. Forget what the society will talk about you, your family and child; make sure to preserve your child's dream, help your child in pursuing as well as achieve it.
Be the change and see how the world changes slowly.

Don't wish me 'Happy Independence Day'

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you still poke your nose
in other's life and their business.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you still feel it's okay
to harass a child of your family.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you still choose to disrespect
a woman who toils day and night.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you feel girl's belong to the kitchen
and boy's are for desk jobs.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you pass comments when
you see a girl and a boy together.

Don't wish me

if you're still a prisoner
of your others thoughts about you.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you think education gives you
the right to look down on someone else.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you can't respect our national flag
and people who fought for it.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if you're one of those who manages
to ruin someone else's peace
for your own satisfaction.

Don't wish me

if you don't know the value
of the lady who gave you birth.

Don't wish me
'Happy Independence Day'
if a lady/girl/baby isn't safe
in the broad day light as well.

We're not independent yet,
girls are still suffering,
they're still suppressed,
harassed, raped, killed, murdered
and you wish me 'Happy Independence Day'
If a girl isn't safe, we're still not independent.

Today we're celebrating 75 years of independence but are we actually independent? Are we actually free? Are we safe? Are we equal?

We're still prisoner's of someone else's thoughts.
We still think about 'log kya kahenge?'
We still pass comments about a boy and a girl.
We still bother to poke our nose
in someone else's life for no reason.
We still believe that we're independent
In spite of being caged to many things.

WAITING TO BE SAVOURED

Waiting to be savoured
With the flavours of love
Love, I await you as if there's no end
To this wait, I'm waiting
The shooting star fulfills someone's wishes
As usual I hum my favourite song
I wish to have you as my home forever
Where I can come forever
No matter how good or bad my day will be
Being with you brings me peace
Eventually I wish to doze off
In your arms while you caress my hair
Kissing my forehead, when you wish to leave
In my deep sleep I tend to hug you much tighter
And eventually pull you back to me
Sleeping like a baby whole night
You just lie down and stare at me sleep

HUMMED HYMNS OF BRAVERY

Everyone Hummed hymns of bravery
Without knowing what actually it cost her
To be rebellious like a child
To be completely opposite
of what was expected from her
To be a different person altogether
To be something that she wanted to be
People still comment unconditionally
Some love her much more than before
She has fought battles in silence
Without showing her wounds and scars
She has been constantly underestimated
Always pricked by people for being strong
Ultimatum she gave by breaking her silence
After years she had spoken
And took a stand for her own self
Now she stands at a level
Wherein people try to pull her down
But fall off and die an untimely death
Even though they're alive, breathing
For her, they're dead long back

You don't belong to me anymore

You don't belong to me anymore
You're hers, you belong to her
You were my past and her present
She has left everything for you

You don't belong to me anymore
To be with you she has been waiting
To take 7 vows she has been joyous
To promise you to be with you, she's left her everything behind

You don't belong to me anymore
She's your wife, girlfriend, best friend
And everything else that she can be
Accept her and move on in life

You don't belong to me anymore
You can't call me whenever you want
Because she's with you, next to you
Sleeping peacefully like a baby

You don't belong to me anymore
Everything that we shared,
The bond, relationship, care, rights and you
Everything is hers now,  nothing's mine

You don't belong to me anymore
You can't cling to me and pull her down
You shouldn't push her into water
Just to stay afloat with me

You don't belong to me anymore
Love and trust ended long back ago
Friendship wasn't there at all
Even tears have dried up now from my eyes

You don't belong to me anymore
You aren't my go to home like before
You can't cheat on her by talking to me
In her absence or her distance from you

You don't belong to me anymore
I won't cry for you to come
For I know you can't come back
And mainly I don't want you to be back

You don't belong to me anymore
The shooting star finally fulfilled my wish
You're happy with someone else
And I'll pray for your prosperity always

You don't belong to me anymore
Neither you have the authority to raise your voice
Nor do you have the audacity to question me
She's your everything and only she should be

Us- You, Me and Her

I held back my feelings
Which I have had for you
Each time I saw you,
I lost a lil bit of me
Each time I saw her with you,
A piece of my soul shattered
Every time you were with me,
She was present there too
It killed me to hold my feelings back
All the rights I felt I had on you,
She was the one who showed authority on you
The late night talks were the only means
For me to talk to you, to hear you out
I was afraid of losing our friendship
I didn't confess my love for you
Because she would break and shatter
I held my heart caged when it was you
Whom I was supposed to talk to
She liked you to the core
And I knew my feelings were beyond like
Reciprocation of feelings I felt at times
But then may be it wasn't for me I thought
Remember those afternoons
When we'd go to beaches?
I yearned to be with you, walk with you
But she was with you walking, talking
Remember those days when I used to cook just for you?
I wished to talk to you while cooking
You spoke as well but to her
That one strand of hair irritated me always
While I was busy doing my work
I wanted you to tuck it behind my ear
I didn't want any one night stand at all
But the lil romantic cherishable things
I wished from the bottom of my heart
You chopping and cooking for me
Or feeding me the food while I spoke non stop
Hugging me from behind and helping me chop
All the time, she was there
I yearned to hold your hands
Entwine our fingers and walk away on the sea shore
I don't know if it's love or jealousy or attraction
But yes, I died a silent death each time I saw you with her

Little of Everything

There is lack of kind
The kind of kind that
literally melts hearts

There is lack of faith
The faith in Lord, people
And also in one's own conscience

There is lack of Charity
The Charity that gives blessings
In return for giving away something

There is lack of smile
The smile that stays there
Forever, for generations

There is lack of communication
The communication that communicates
Much of love, care rather than hate

There is lack of happiness
The happiness that prevails
For another lifetime and more

There is lack of reality
The reality that reveals
One's true and pure self

There is lack of humanity
The humanity that doesn't divide people
Instead brings together as a whole

There is lack of talks
The talks that are heart to heart
And all real, soulful and true

There is lack of shine
The shine that makes eyes glitter
And soul smile from ear to ear

There is lack of appreciation
The appreciation which is genuine
With no harsh and tattered words

There is lack of trust
The trust that makes God happy
In people and on Almighty himself we don't trust

There is lack of love
The love that comes with no tags
No selfish motives and without conditions

There is lack of confidence
The confidence that
will get success along each time

There is lack of tolerance
The tolerance which is tested
By our very own people all the time

There is lack of patience
The patience that is lost somewhere
Behind the curtain of time

There is lack of Unity
That we all fail to realize
And fall as separate parts

Marriage: the end or a new beginning

She sat confused under the night sky thinking who was right? What was wrong? At the age of 24, she was getting proposals from many prospective grooms who were also of the marriageable age. She hadn't met anyone at all. She had just heard about them, a lot for that matter. No doubt she had her own say in this matter, a strong independent girl she was after all. Her parents heard her decisions and understood them instead of forcing their wish on her.
She loved writing, her passion, her life it was and second she loved doing the most was teaching. She was already pursuing M.Com and was a home tutor. While all her friends were in big metropolitan cities, away from home,  earning in thousands, without peace, she earned a little lesser than them but she was at home, at peace and happy. Her day passed by doing all the household chores in the morning, studying for sometime and then tuitions in the evening. She loved cooking as well.
That night, she was messed up, extremely confused if her marriage would be an end or a new beginning. She had to start training herself mentally, emotionally, physically to take the weight of marriage on her shoulders. 1/2 of her family wanted her to marry because they were aging and would say goodbye anytime. Next 1/4th wanted her to marry just because she was 24-25 and according to them it was "the right time" and the remaining of her family which had some handful number of people who would be in her support no matter what her decision would be. She wasn't against marriage but she didn't wish to marry at this particular time when things were all half done, settlement was no where near her. She wished to go to her new house completely not partly.
The whole night, she was just twisting and turning on the bed with millions of things on her mind. Main thing was her parent's security. Being the only child has its own perks at every step. When she was small, her parents did everything possible for her, in her childhood they took care of everything that they were supposed to in the best possible manner and now, now it was her turn to parent her aging parents like her own child with utmost love and care. She wanted the best for them before her departure. She wanted them to save as much as possible not for her but for themselves. Certain things she knew clearly about her next steps.
● She wouldn't be the only one spending on her marriage, he too would contribute. If she was marrying him, he too would be wedded to her so the expenses would be split amongst them.
● She would work after marriage for certain time.
● She would make some permanent arrangements for her parents to stay say a 1BHK at least which would belong to her parents alone.
● She always dreamt of a simple marriage and not a lavish wedding. A simple marriage where her most wanted people would be present with loads of happiness and laughs, they would all bless her. The food would be simple and no one would comment anything about it, be it on her face or behind her back.
● She would never stop keeping touch with her parents and close ones.
She was clear about where she wished to get married, away from South India. She was fine with even foreign countries but she didn't wish to settle down in the South Indian border at all. She had her own reasons for this.
The concept of marriage didn't facinate her much this time. Wearing saris all the time would be so uncomfortable she thought. Being loaded with loads and loads of jewellery like a mannequin she feared. She wished for an understanding husband who would take her side when she was right and would stand against her when she was wrong.
Marriage would certainly change many many things in her life but still she just wished her marriage would be a new beginning and not the end. Marriage brings new relations, new people, new bonds in one's life and accepting them wholeheartedly is much important than just accepting them. She stood on the crossroads of life where she was split between many things. She wished to accept the new person and his people wholeheartedly and not just half heartedly. She always wanted her decision to prevail over other forces.
As of now, her only decision was completely completing M.com, getting a job, standing on her own feet, totally independent and then watch who would accept her, because she knew some guys these days can't take it if the bride is much more educated than him. They can't stand the fact that she earns more than him. They're just making plans of pulling her down by every possible means. She didn't want such a life partner at all who would just pull her down at every step of her life instead she wanted someone who would have her back always no matter what the world has to say.
Thinking about everything, everyone, herself she slowly drifted off to sleep...

Save Amazonia

They're dying untimely death
The smoke covers the city during the broad day light
The innocent floara and fauna,
Have been screaming for help
It's weeks now, Amazonia is burning down

Don't you feel the burn in your lungs?
Don't you feel the heat?
Can't you hear the screams?
Can't you imagine the scenario?

The greens are burning down to ashes
The wind carrying a small flame
To the farther corner, leaving ashes behind
Amazonian Rainforests are falling down

God alone knows how many generations have been working on it
How many innocent lives the fire has claimed by now
The difference between the day and the night is forgotten
And how many unique species have been dead by now

Can you see the tears?
Can you understand the extent of loss?
The forests don't speak
The trees don't talk

Even if someone mistreats the plants in our garden,
We yell at them, shout at them
Now, whom should we yell at?
Now, whom should we blame?

At the thought of death rate,
My eyes moist and a chill goes down my spine
Kilometers away, the smoke is filling spaces
The fire, doesn't stop at all

The families of all those animals are birds,
Are dying down, or probably have been separated
God can only save them all
What can we do? You might ask me straight

We can sit here and pray
For the fire to die down soon
The destruction caused by cutting down of trees,
Is way too much to handle
Now, in a row, at a stretch all those tall trees stand burnt and uprooted

Oh Lord, save them all
Give us the strength to over come the huge destruction and loss
The images, photographs are extremely heart wrenching and devastating
Oh God, please save Amazonian Rainforests is all that I pray for

Revenge, karma and truth

If revenge can get them back
Then fine, let's fight
If Bharat Band can get them alive
Then let's go ahead
If by killing those terrorists the matyred could come back,
Then let's kill them all at once
If by posting pictures, they will smile back again
Then let's post even more
If rallies can put life into them,
Then I will join too I will walk miles
If blood could fill the dead bodies lying in the grave,
Then I will give my blood as well
If by chopping heads of those terrorist
The mass of flesh which lying on the roads,
Gets back its shape then let's do it

Nothing of such sort will happen is a truth we all know
Then why fight? Just let karma play it's toll

Marriage

Marriage
Is a connection of two souls and heart rather than two bodies. It's not the end it's the beginning instead. Beginning of everything. A new person, many new relationships and equal authority.
Searching for a groom, talking about the girl, regarding the girl, asking about the guy, his qualification in short interviewing him for the bride is a ritual in our society. Once the girl steps into her 23rd year, people start talking about her marriage about her future regarding which she shouldn't have any objections. Even today in some places of our country, a girl is married off to a complete stranger without even her consent. To release a pledged house or mortgaged ornaments or to free her parents from the burden of debt. She is married to the son of the person who has lent them money. Has anyone thought what she goes through? When asked they say 'It's the tradition to send girls away at any age no matter what.' or 'लड़की पराया धन होती है'
Age is just a number and marriage is just a legal name that binds two people without which the world outside calls it illicit and by chance, if she conceives without marrying then the child which is born suffers the most to the core. Inspite of having a name the child is called illicit. Isn't it beautiful how the same child, if born after marriage gets a proper name as well as a good house and before marriage is named as a mistake? Babies are the most beautiful creation of Almighty after woman. She's blessed with the strength to carry another life within her for 9 months and then bring it this world. They're never a mistake no matter when they're born.
Marriage is just a name that says the couple are legally binded to one another. It's as if without getting married if two people stay together, it's a crime.
Is it that necessary to give a relationship a name so that two people can survive in the society?
Is it that important for a girl to have a mangalsutra around her neck which says she's married and belongs to someone else? Why is that inspite of having a mangalsutra she's being teased or harassed or worst cases even raped?
At times a question lingers in my mind is this all a girl is born? Just to educate her (which in many cases isn't happening) and then marry her off so that she can have kids?
Is this all a girls' life?

Letter to my (future) baby #5

My dear baby,
Never depend on anyone for anything in your life. Life isn't easy but if you have right people by your side, things will fall into place. Never think that you'll be troubling me by sharing your problmes. Never that's gonna happen.
Know one thing, learn to respect yourselves first. If you don't respect yourself, no one else will respect you ever. Don't give too much of importance to anyone in your life. There is a limit to give importance, to things and to keep quiet. Baby, it doesn't mean you should be intolerant. It just means know the difference between right amd wrong. Learn to differentiate between truth and false. Never trust easily and never doubt without evidence. Remember, sometimes even evidence may be false.
I want you to fly high in the sky with immense colors. Not everyone deserves your time and not everyone is worth your importance. Those who are, they'll make place for themselves without you knowing it. Any problem, anytime, mumma is there for you baby..

Love
Mumma

Letter to my (future) baby #4

My dear baby,
At times i just wanna hug you tight and never let you go. I miss you more than anyone sometimes. Baby, it's not just about giving birth to you it's all about nurturing you, taking care of you, teaching mannerisms etc.
People may tell you hundreds of things about you, your behavior, your every damn movement but baby remember do what you feel is right. Take suggestions but decide what your heart says. Mumma will always be there with you when you take right decisions and mumma's there when you go wrong to help you come back to the correct track. It's people's work to speak against one another you don't have to bother because we don't stop nor we change paths when stray dogs bark.
Mumma will always be there when you need me

Love
Mumma

Letter to my (future) baby #3

My dear baby,

Mumma may scold you without reason sometimes i will try my level best not to but still if at all i do, then please forgive me. Mumma is no God baby that she won't make mistakes she will but it's only a mistake not a crime. Mumma may not be there at times when you need her but it doesn't mean mumma doesn't love you. Mumma loves you a lot no matter what. Mumma may lose her patience that time you should be patient with mumma instead of yelling at me just try to calm me down. Mumma is a human just like you. Yes they say mother is God on earth but I want you to know one thing straight that I am not God. I am just a human, your Mom that's all. It doesn't mean you can disrespect me. If you want respect learn to give and then you'll be able to take respect back.
Without respecting someone don't expect them to respect you at any cost baby. You're free to choose what you want but not at the cost of walking on wrong paths. Mumma will be there but incase she isn't there  with you physically, dont panic mumma is always there with you and for you. Make friends who'll be there with you at your best and worst. Make few friends who'll be there always rather than having thousands of friends on social media make less friends outside the media world who'll promise you their company and togetherness always.
You'll meet different kinds of people at different stage of life but make sure amongst them you'll have  one or some constants. Make sure to have atleast one person with whom you can share all your secrets. Life is short they say but it a depends on how you take your life, to which edge you're leading it. Baby, I may not be very much experienced with life for i have much more to see whatever I have seen is nothing is permanent neither people nor problems nor life. Everything stays for a particular time period.
You may be feeling it's easy to lecture but no I am saying all this because I have seen everything. I would like to be your friend first and mother next. May be the seed if friendship which didn't penetrate in my life will become tree in your life.
Don't hesitate to come and share stuffs anytime. Mumm is always there for you no matter what time the clock shows.
Mumma loves you baby...

Love
Mumma
